So last week i applied for 2 chase credit cards The IHG rewards and the Marriot Boundless card, I had a 635 on transunion and equifax and 634 on experian. Have 1 collection on my reports, i even had a good chance of approval till i got 2 disappointing letters in the mail saying chase was unable to approve. Credit karma should be ashamed of themselves for misleading approval odds……waste of an inquiry for the next 2 years i’ll stick with my capital one venture card n my Amex from credit one till i can get an acutal (AMERICAN EXPRESS) card.
After I pay off my limite the degrees my money from $4,500 to $1,300 the take more what I want to pay I will not use it anymore scammers
Do not get this card based on their marketing. I was supposed to receive a 250 e-gift card, but never received it. I took a screenshot of the offer when I first saw it just in-case it didn’t get honored based on other bad reviews. Unfortunately the proof I had of the offer didn’t help. I’m stuck with this card since I paid the annual fee already, but I would not recommended this card to any friends or family members. Capital One is the way to go!
While the card is ok Bonvoy itself was a nightmare. I was told about Bonvoy when checking out and told I would be given credit for the 4 nights I stayed. Today I was told i would get them and too bad because I agreed that they can interpret the rules and I have no recourse. Chase is fine Bonvoy customer care is no good.
Don't believe the rating Credit Karma provides. I've got over 750 credit scores and a very high income but and was denied. So all I recieved was a credit ding for the inquiry.... small ding but still this system is a failure.
Love this card, if you travel a lot, this is a must card. On an average year we get 8+ free nights. Plus a night at each anniversary, a must card
Supposedly had a outstanding chance but that was just not the case. I make 80k a year, with 2k in credit card dept with over 18k to spend. Don't waste your time.
You're better off paying for Marriott rooms at the cash price. The annual card fee will cost you more than any potential savings because they charge more for rooms paid with points offsetting their value. For a typical destination resort like Hawaii, an 80,000 in rewards points won't even cover the cost of 1 night. They offer a free night if staying 2+ nights but again you'll find yourself paying more to use their perks than if you purchase a package deal through Costco or various other 3rd party travel programs. Don't waste your money on this card, the bonus points are just an illusion to trick you into feeling like you need to spend more money with Marriott to get a value that isn't there.
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card is the worst card there is when it comes to receiving promotions and points. When I receive the card, I was given around 49,000. Was never told that there was an expiration date on when the points had to be used. Back in June 2023, I view my account details, and noticed that my points had been snatched away, without any form of notification. The online details of my account said the points had expired. I reached out to a representative, who informed that they had expired, but unable to tell me if and when any form of communication was sent and to where. I find this card to be useless, as I was never able to reap any benefits whatsoever. I've decided to close the account, as I don't feel it is beneficial. No one from customer service tried to help with a rectification of any sort. They didn't try to reinstate my points. Will never do service with Marriott ever again.
Chase is the problem with this card. Its bait and switch.. I did a screenshot of the terms when I signed up online - and yet they are telling me a signed up for a promotion. All this was clearly stated in the NEW card offer details. The promotion was to provide 50K points after spending $3000 or more in the first 3 months. I have it in writing and clicked on the Offer Details before accepting and completing the app online. It also included a $250 eGift care which Chase NEVER sent. STAY AWAY from this promotion. Its all over the internet on Reddit. Filing a complaint with CPFB and pulling every last dime out of Chase. I took a hard inquiry for a bait-and-switch tactics credit card. Never had any issue with any AMEX based loyalty cards. Only experienced this the first time with CHASE. Learn from those of us who have been duped. Stay away from signing up for this card. The biggest thing I dont understand - why does Chase care whether or not Marriott rewards me the points -- its on them to say yes he/she spent the money now give the customer what they signed up for.
Credit Karma said I had an outstanding chance. I have 766 & 748 scores.
