Approval odds were Fair
Was approved for $5,000 been wanting an airline card for a while now perfect for vacationing.

Horrible customer service and communication. I refinanced my home for 1.2 million and zeroed out my balance, was never late for a payment in 12 years and have an 800 plus credit score. They reduced my credit limit to 500 dollars with a mid-six figure income. Their sky miles are useless, unless you want to overpay by 3x normal rates. Not worth it, you are better off finding a card with true benefits. Not upset, just moving on as you should.
Credit karma said I had good approval odds. Applied and was denied?
Do not apply for this card, when u are in the processing of buying a ticket wit AA their window pops in and offers you statement credit and miles, once u get accept they do not provide the card number so now u are stuck with the car w.0 the benefits, the customer service sucks, u talk to someone in India who you cannot understand and do nothing to help you, I spent 3 hours on the phone and nothing,
CK says the chance if approval is good I apply for this card and I was denied .. and my credit score will be affected because of this
Until you apply with a credit score of over 750, DENIED. Thanks for the hit Credit Karma & AA
I have a good credit did not approve me hard inquiry for no reason
I was instantly approved and they promised a temporary CC number (under there terms and conditions) to purchase a plane ticket but, that never happened. When calling them. They told me nothing could be done. Then after a while they offer to send an expedited card in 1 to 3 business days. I said yes to that deal since that was less of a wait (7 to 10 days). She left me on hold then came back and told now it will take 12 to 14 business days and there was nothing anyone could do about it. So long story short do not believe anything they say. they either have no clue or they just like to lie.
Not easy application process, karma suggested good chance of approval.. but not really
I was approved for this card as most local flights are American. It’s been 3 weeks, I still haven’t received the card. Every time I call they say I’ll get it today or tomorrow. I finally had them go ahead & expedite a new one. Then instead of canceling the card, they closed my account, made a new one stating “upon approval” they’ll send me a new card. Implying my credit will be ran yet again… if 0 was an option I’d use it. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend any card from Citi Bank.
I've had this card since 2011- it's been my go-to for everything. I have set up auto-debits and taken advantage of the security features to ensure the card isn't used fraudulently. All of my transactions are sent to my phone if the card is charged-not present. These are things you need to set up through the app. I've had no issues with their customer service. I have used my miles to book flights endless times without any issues. I am a gold member status and have free checked baggage as one of the perks. Most of the reviews you are reading about being declined for an account, therefore please take into consideration that not everyone will have a high enough credit score to be approved. If you have a credit score of over 700, there's a good chance you will get approved. Don't always believe CreditKarma on your odds of being approved, they aren't always right and not the ones making the approval decisions.
i was so hesitant to apply because my credit score is 660 only and when i apply i wait a week then they send me an mail saying i need to verify my application and when i call i get approved for 5,000 credit limit im so happy because i need and airline miles credit card so bad thanks citi for not disappointing me...
