Chase/Southwest promised me a $200 credit and never mentioned an annual fee. During the time it took me to speak to someone I ranked over $200 in late fee plus interest. Plus charged me $69. I recommend you do not use this Chase card or fly using Southwest. Money is tight and I feel I was lied to and deceived and I have no recourse.
Chase buys a large block of points from SW airlines. And then they distribute them on their discretion. Our offer was for 60,000 points after the 3 month spending. We both received 10k points and after calling over 3 times and Chase submitting forms to marketing department they have DECLINED THEIR OWN OFFER!
I’ve had this card for almost 5 years. I was so excited when I got it because the SW points deal was pretty good and I love SW airlines. However, in the last 5 years, my APR has increased by 4%, they always deny my credit line increase requests (even when I had a very high credit score), and they have NEVER given me any balance transfer options. They don’t even allow a balance transfer at the standard APR like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and so many others do. Every time I call regarding the balance transfer option, they tell me they will “make a note” in my account that I want them, and then I never get any options. I haven’t purchased anything with this card in over 2 years. The only charge on my account since 2021 is the annual fee. The only thing this card is worth is a very small increase in my total credit limit. 0/10 would not recommend if you want to do anything other than get points for southwest.
Chase promised two early bird check ins. I purchased two early bird check ins and never received reimbursement. I also didn't get checked in early and had to manually do it. When I called Southwest, they were rude both times and refused to take off the charge and as mentioned, Chase never reimbursed. I would not recommend this card to anyone. There's a lot of rewards that they try and entice new card holders; however, know you will not get them. What you will get is the annual fee. Not only did I cancel this card but because it was associated with Southwest, I stopped flying Southwest.
I got this card in June 2023, made the purchases to get the points by July 2023, had to wait 30 days for the points to be transferred to my Southwest account, and found they weren’t there. Called Chase and was told to wait more. Still nothing. Called in August and found that they transferred points to a different rapid rewards account that is not the one printed on my card. I have a common name and it appears they just put them in someone else’s account with the same name. After FOUR requests over a month and a half for Chase to put the points in the correct account, they STILL have the wrong number associated and have not transferred them. I just put in a request to merge the odd account with mine from Southwest but it will take another 30 days. I have been waiting for points to transfer since July for Thanksgiving flights and will not be able to book them until the end of October. This is unacceptable!

I've owned this card for several years now and I like that I esrn travel points, it helps especially since my family live far away. I had no problem getting approved. My credit score is 805.

Southwest card is amazing!
Recently I moved close to Baltimore area and start using Southwest a lot. I did applied for the card and despite having excellent credit score and 3% credit utilization I was declined for having another Chase card with the bank.
This is a great card so far. But if you don't fly a lot then I say just picked one of the other Chase card's like Freedom I have that card also. And enjoy it and they give me great customer service anytime I have contact them in bank and in the phone.and when they send you a offer it is for real 100% each offer they gave me was true. On both cards.
