I used to be a customer and they used to be great. My latest experience has been terrible. They requested documents over and over again. Their online syst didn't work well and in the end they used all possible reasons to not match an offer from another landor. Extremely customer unfriendly and lengthy process.

I don't know what information they looked at but they apparently know more than every credit agency.

I have pretty good credit, over 720, great income from self employment which I’ve done full time for over ten years, with tens of thousands in the bank. I’ve had a credit for over 15 years and previously impeccably paid auto loans. I was denied by Lightstream, according to the letter because of insufficient income, lack of credit history and debt ration. My debt ratio is below 20%, and was only applying for a 25k loan. I’m shocked: extremely upset to have wasted a hard credit check for NO good reason

Applied for a pool loan friday and hete it is Monday and still no response I was told my credit score would not be affected but it was it dropped 5 points knocking me below 700 .really

BUYER BEWARE - I applied for a car loan yesterday evening and expected a “fast decision” based on the website's deceptive marketing. I received an email at 6:27AM the next morning asking for me to call back to answer a couple questions. I called and received an automated message saying that your offices are closed and to call back between 10am and 6pm. I waited until 10am and called again. Agent asked a couple identifying questions and reassured me I would receive an answer “today”. Received an email at 10:24am asking me to upload documents. I did so and completed the project within an hour. Didn’t hear anything back, so at 2:40pm, I called again. The agent said it is currently under review, but not to worry because I will receive a decision “TODAY”. I said “that’s great, because I plan to go car shopping tomorrow.” I didn’t hear back by 6pm, so I called again, but offices were already closed. Lovely. Logged into the application online and it appears that it’s still in process. Sent them an email to inquire at 7pm and received a decline email at 9pm. According to your system, I have an 802 credit score. I have millions of dollars in investments and real estate. I have very little, to no debt at all. Clearly you’re only looking to approve consumers with low income/credit so you can justify charging high interest rates. Your marketing of interest rates starting at 4.19% is deceptive and misleading.

I'd seen A LOT of bad reviews for Lightstream. Reviews from people claiming to have the world's greatest credit score and piles and piles of cash (and 3-4 houses). ALL of them claimed to get denied by Lightstream. So when a lowly working man like me with "good" credit got approved in MINUTES and got a percentage rate way lower than any used car dealer I could find, well, I was pleasantly surprised. Now, it was after 5pm on a Friday before a 3-day Holiday weekend, so, I didn't actually get the money deposited into my bank account 'till Tuesday (the day after the Holiday). But still,... I would (and already HAVE) recommend Lightstream to anyone. (Well anyone who's not already rich).

I applied with my amazing credit score and was promised a payment with huge printed number the interest would be 3.69 for 84 months. They approved it for 6.44 . I had a better offer when I was 19 year old . Now I have a ding on my credit from this garbage company and can’t get rid of it. FYI very rude customer service one of the worst I have ever experienced

The Lightstream process was quick, easy and transparent with all of the paperwork handled via computer and email. My loan app was approved in 1 minute - you read that correctly. Funds were deposited in my account on the date of my choosing and I selected the date for the autodraft from my bank account which resulted in a .50 reduction in my interest rate. And, as a bonus, I can track my loan payments via their phone app. Will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Find another lender if you have a bad month you will never recover and they will repo it

Per LightStream rejection letter, I have an average credit score (from Equifax and Experian) of over 795. So, if you are responsible (low debt, always pay on time, and pay off all debt early) you are not eligible for financing through LightStream. Apparently they prefer, high debt and risk, in order to over charge on rates and add fees.
