Too old fashioned for their own good.

Terrible customer service. Everything is a lengthy process, they have 0 online tools to help service your loan. You have to call customer service for everything and they are no help either, because they want you to mail everything in.

I paid my car more than 6 months ago and I'm still fighting my lien release, every time you call customer service they tell you something different.

LOUSY SERVICE - SWINDLERS

Loan was paid off on 9/28/22. It continues to show up on my credit report. I sent a dispute through Experian and US Bank refused to show the balance as $0. so it continues to show up as a mark against my credit.

Awful customer service. No way to do anything online. Tried to payoff my lease, no payoff amount online.. you have to call, get transferred about 3 times. Last time I do any sort of transactions through them

Initially approved, then denied?
Intuit Credit Karma member

I applied for a smaller loan for a used car to get me through college, I can easily afford the payment so I found some cars I liked and shopped around for rates. Initially I was approved after the 2nd day for 15k, all that it said was further processing needed to set up an appointment. Got an email when the loan was finally processed, somehow after they said I was approved they said "they could not complete my request". No responses from emails or anything. I really won't look here again next time for another loan.

You are not a customer, but a number

Duration of the loan processing was average. Never really had any issues to need customer service. Payments were all auto-paid/ACH; really simple. Online experience was just below average ofr 2010-2014. When I then paid off my personal auto loan, good luck to you. They first cancel your online account immediately, and then this forces you to be put on hold for much longer than any other bank I have worked with; to then bounch around from "banker" to "senior banker" to speak about "normal" processing delays on their part. After my pay-off funds had both cleared the account and then even reflected upon my credit credit report a PAID IN-FULL status, I then had to wait more than FOUR WEEKS to receive a Release of Lien!!! I had to call back in to request a letter stating that my note/auto loan had been paid in full to be mailed to me rather than automatically being generated like every other company I have worked with have done so that I could then use to request a refund on the balance of my GAP insurance policy. I directly lost two months of refundable money due to these delays. HORRIBLE customer service!!!! Try another lender if possible.

Wonderful Bank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I financed my new car with U. S. Bank. They approved me right away even though I had a high credit card balance left me by my ex-husband! I love the on line option to pay extra on your car payment and have it go to principal and not be eat up by interest. This allowed me to be able to pay off my car almost two years early which was exciting for me. I hope to bank with them in the future as well.
